Do our children need tutoring lessons? - Posted By Erotrad (erotrad) on 29th Dec 22 at 7:40am
Most of my students do need extra lessons to reinforce and supplement what they are learning in school. However, there are a few who can't work because of external factors, such as too many distractions at home and an inability to learn effectively. They may also be dealing with personal problems that, if not addressed, can cause them to act up. For these students who are not particularly academically weak, you may wonder if they really need tutoring lessons. I believe that tutoring, while effective in helping students improve their grades, is not a one-size-fits-all solution. I suggest that parents have a heart-to-heart talk with their children to understand what they are going through. This can lead to a turning point in their children's academic performance. So don't jump to conclusions and decide that your children may be weak just by assessing their school performance. Parents should also talk to their school teachers to learn more about their children's learning behavior, as well as assess other factors, such as whether the home is a good learning environment or whether their children have unmet emotional needs that affect their learning

If your child is having difficulty, find out why, ask questions, including the teacher, and ask the teacher for advice. Sometimes one-on-one explanations work like magic. Also, some children do better in math than others. Quite often the good ones in math are weaker in languages. There are many variations on this subject. Be careful when trying to find fault or name-calling.
I believe that extra math lessons for children are needed anyway to learn more about the subject. When children learn mathematics , they develop brainpower and become more intelligent.
